Once upon a dream …
I listened to the rain patter gently on the glass of the open window. Thinking I should get up and close the window, I noticed it was nearly dawn and the sun was beginning to rise. I thought this was curious—that the sun could be seen through the clouds. I rose to close the window and looking up at the sky, I saw the most beautiful rainbow I’ve ever seen. It was shimmering in the light reflected from the sun, radiating sparkles of rainbow-colored light everywhere.
I wondered how a rainbow could appear in the sky when it was still raining and the sun wasn’t fully above the horizon or clearly visible through the soft, misty clouds and decided I must be dreaming.
“Follow your dream,” the rainbow said.
If I was dreaming, I thought to myself, then maybe I could fly up into and through this magical, mystical rainbow to experience the awe and wonder and joy of it with every part of my being. It sounded like a wonderful thing to do and I decided to follow this dream to see where the rainbow would lead me.
I had a feeling that if I could somehow get inside this rainbow, and if I totally involved all my senses in exploring and experiencing the rainbow with every part of my awareness—seeing, touching, smelling, tasting, and hearing the harmony of the colors—I could become the essence of the rainbow. Then maybe I’d be able to feel the energies of the colors vibrating all around me and through me, inside my heart, within my body and my mind, encircling my soul.
I wanted to feel the vibrations of the rainbow emanating from within my body—from within the center of my being, the very core of my soul—and radiating outward from myself. I wanted to become a rainbow of colors, vibrating and shimmering in a magical flow and radiance of energy, expanding both inward and outward. If I could become the rainbow, then I could rise above the rainbow through the mist into the white light of the universe, and I could become the essence of white light and feel the light vibrating in harmony with my soul, in tune with my spiritual essence.
I heard the voice whisper again in my mind, somewhere inside my dream. “Would you like to take a wonderful journey into a magical, mystical place where you can follow a rainbow path to open up the true reality of your physical world and explore the multidimensionality of your soul, to remember and rediscover all the knowledge you have within you as you awaken to your spiritual self?”
“Yes,” I said, and I was inside the color red at the bottom of the rainbow. I wondered what I’d find inside each color.
